Skye has gathered together all the items she thinks will be useful to travel the world. Her vintage look decorative suitcase is linen covered and adds a touch of nostalgia with its leather and brass trim. She sits atop a blanket and pillow I created for her using world traveler prints. On her lap, she holds a personalized ornament made especially for you. Behind her sits a world map and her gold frame sunglasses while a large dimensional "TRAVEL" sticker and camera are attached as well. The camera really flashes (pull out the plastic battery activator and push the button on top). On the pillow beside her sits a small antique looking globe...perfect for planning her next adventure. Also placed there is a working brass pocket compass with its leather case so she can always find her way home, a pair of binoculars to see the sights, and her leather journal. If you look inside her journal, you will see that she couldn't resist putting stickers into it as she imagined places she'd love to see. And who can travel the world without a passport? Hers is filled with stamps from all the countries visited along with a few boarding passes. Skye is truly a world traveler...even if only in her dreams.

Simply adorable! This precious girl bear gave me so much joy to create as I watched her sweet personality emerge. Skye was crafted from Steiff-Schulte plush synthetic in a golden sand color. She measures 15 inches from the top of her head to the bottoms of her feet. When seated she measures just 11 inches high to the top of her ears.
Skye wears a lovely ruff which I fashioned for her using beige colored world print fabric. I finished the edges with a narrow rolled hem done in matching thread and set it atop a double layer of ivory tulle. An ivory satin ribbon headband delicately circles her head and ties in a bow just at her ear, Dangling from her neck is a 14K gold plated pendant necklace featuring triple charms...a globe, a jet, and a camera.
I added subtle shading to her needle and scissor sculpted face as well as her inner ears. She sees the world through premium German glass eyes which I hand painted in a beautiful shade of spice brown with luminous gold sparkles to catch the light. Her big beautiful eyes are set atop a white eye base.
Skye has bent arms and straight legs. Her arms have wire armature so she can hold soft poses. Her front and rear paw pads are applique trapunto-sculpted in sand colored ultrasuede and lightly shaded.
She is 5-way disc and locknut jointed and filled with a combination of polyfill and pellets for a nice weighted feel. Her nose is hand-embroidered using cotton embroidery floss.
Skye is a one-of-a-kind BrendaBears™ creation. She will come with a sewn-in tush tag, an attached signed ultrasuede tag bearing her birthdate, and a signed hang tag as proof of authenticity. This is a collectible bear and not suitable for children.
